People that are like “people in other countries are too busy facing Real Womyn Oppresion to know what a transgender is” are so weird like there is so much to unpack with this that other people have discussed better than me but these people only discuss misogyny outside the West as a means to delegitimize transphobia but that’s also the only time they ever talk about this stuff and weirdly they still focus 90% of their activism into trying to over-theory why transgender people are evil. Like, “oh transgenders aren’t a real issue to the rest of the world because they’re busy dealing with the Real Oppression” like ok so why don’t you talk about the Real Oppression you’re referring to instead of spending hours online everyday complaining about transgender people

Interesting how terfs always talk this game of having an intimate knowledge of how gender works in the “third world” and yet don’t know that trans women face physical violence across the world, including El Salvador where the murder rate against transgender women is so high the UN wants to open an investigation.

Turns out people outside the West are very aware of our existence and this talking point of TERFs does nothing to protect women let alone trans people outside of the United States.

Shoplifting actually isn’t a radical statement.

You DO actually hurt the low-wage workers, not the billionaire CEO/Owners of the company. 

Source: I’ve had my paycheck, hours, and job cut due to shoplifting on more than one occasion. I’m not the only one.

Also, you know who they blame first for large numbers of shoplifters frequenting the store or lots of product going missing? The staff. You know what they do if they think a few people on staff might be stealing? They replace all of them. Regardless of whether they can prove it. Yes. That’s totally legal.

Stop acting like your shoplifting is some radical anti-capitalist statement. It isn’t. You’re only hurting the very people you claim to support. SOME stores have a certain amount they expect to lose to shoplifting, but not all of them do. It can vary even within a company.

And yes, stealing food when your hungry IS different from stealing $500 worth of makeup because you wanted it.
